Information we collect
We collect your name, email address, and shipping address when you place an order or enter a giveaway. We also collect analytics data about how the site gets used: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the links and buttons you interact with. Analytics is handled by PostHog. We do not run advertising or ad-retargeting trackers.
Session recording
We record a playback of your visit: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and the pages you move between. We watch these to find where the site is confusing, not to identify you. Anything you type into a form is masked inside your browser before the recording is sent, so the playback does not contain your name, email address, or any other text you enter. Recordings are held by PostHog and are not shared with anyone else.
How we use it
Your information is used to fulfil orders, send shipping updates, and (only if you opt in) share product news. We never sell your data to third parties.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies for cart state and session management. PostHog, our analytics provider, sets cookies so repeat visits and the pages within one visit can be counted as a single session rather than as separate strangers. No advertising cookies are used on this site.
Data storage
Order data is stored in Shopify (hosted in Australia). Analytics data is held by PostHog on servers in the United States. Form submissions are processed through Upstash (serverless Redis) for rate limiting only. No personal data is persisted there. Storing data overseas means it is held under another country’s laws; we only use providers that contract to protect it to a standard comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
