Why pectin, not gelatin
Gelatin is made from animal collagen. Pectin comes from fruit. We set every Vitabite gummy with pectin so the base is plant-derived and suitable for vegetarians, and because it holds a high-dose extract well without needing a heavy sugar load.
One honest exception
The gummy base is always pectin. The only animal-derived active in the range is the marine collagen in Beauty Glow, which comes from fish. Every other formula is suitable for vegetarians. If you are vegan, look at Super Greens, Daily Energy or the Multi Strain Probiotic.
